The year as the body keeps it

The body does not live in abstract time. Appetite, sleep, attention, work, relationship, and the capacity to act all change as the year changes. Sacred Almanac offers a recurring point of contact with that movement. The entry arrives. The turning is named. There is room to ask what this time is asking of our conduct.

Twenty-four turnings, two moons a month

24 Qi Nodes

A finer map of the year through the changing relationship of Yin and Yang.

New Moons

A place to notice beginnings and what is asking to be tended.

Full Moons

A place to meet fullness and what is ready to be seen.

Rooted in Tong Shu through Liu Ming

Sacred Almanac draws from the Tong Shu, an ancient Taoist almanac, through the teaching of Liu Ming. A quality of time can inform attention without deciding a contract, launch, journey, or life decision. The calendar enters the conversation. Discernment remains with the person living it.

Questions

Are Qi nodes the same as the 24 solar terms?

Yes. The twenty-four Qi nodes are the twenty-four solar terms, or jieqi, of the traditional Chinese calendar. Each lasts about fifteen days and is set by the sun’s position through the year. The solstices and equinoxes are four of them.

Does it tell me which dates are good or bad?

Sacred Almanac offers counsel as a bias, never a block. It does not forbid or determine dates for launches, contracts, decisions, travel, or other life events.

Is this medical advice?

No. Sacred Almanac is educational and orienting. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace care from a qualified clinician.

May the calendar become a place where time can be felt.
